Russian gas giant Gazprom said it has increased its natural gas exports to France.
From January 1 to September 13, Gazprom supplied 8 billion cubic meters of gas to France, which was 27.3% higher than in the same period last year, Gazprom said in its statement.
Gazprom’s CEO Alexey Miller paid a visit to France on Thursday where he held meetings with Jean-Bernard Levy, Chairman and CEO of EDF, and Gerard Mestrallet, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Engie.
According to the statement, Miller and Levy discussed creating new routes for Russian gas exports to Europe in the light of the resumed TurkStream project.
At the second meeting, Miller and Mestrallet discussed ongoing and future cooperation, including joint efforts within the Nord Stream 2 project, the statement reads.
