Australian LNG player, Santos on Monday said Anthony Neilson has been appointed as the new chief financial officer.
Neilson is a chartered accountant with significant experience in the oil and gas sector within the United Kingdom, China, South East Asia and Australia, Santos said in its statement.
He is currently the chief executive officer of Roc Oil Company, which was acquired in 2014 by Hong Kong-listed investor Fosun International.
Previously, Neilson was chief financial officer of ROC and has held commercial, finance and business services roles at Caltex Australia, Credit Suisse First Boston (London) and Arthur Andersen (Sydney).
Santos adds that Neilson is expected to commence duties with the company in December, with the current CFO Andrew Seaton, who recently informed he is to retire by the end of the year, set to stay with the company during the transition period.
