OCTRA Hired for Floatgen Works

French transport engineering company, OCTRA, has been contracted to supply the construction barges as well as associated equipment and skilled staff for the first building phase of the Floatgen project. The company will also work on the full float out of the 5,000-tonne caisson. OCTRA is supporting

French transport engineering company, OCTRA, has been contracted to supply the construction barges as well as associated equipment and skilled staff for the first building phase of the Floatgen project.

The company will also work on the full float out of the 5,000-tonne caisson.

OCTRA is supporting the Floatgen project together with her sister company Coordinadora and partner company Muller Dordrecht.

Construction works on Ideol’s Floatgen project started last month, as announced in June .

This first 2MW French unit will be installed on the SEM-REV experimental test site located off the town of Croisic in France, for a minimum of 2 years.
