Tokyo Gas October sales edge up

Total gas sales by Japan’s Tokyo Gas reached 1,146.425 million cubic meters in October, 6.9 percent up compared to the same month in 2015.

Total gas sales by Japan’s Tokyo Gas reached 1,146.425 million cubic meters in October, 6.9 percent up compared to the same month in 2015.

Volumes in the residential sector reached 177,168 million cubic meters, dropping 4.5 percent below October 2015 volumes, Tokyo Gas said in its latest monthly report.

In the business sector volume totaled 201,041 million cubic meters, jumping 13.7 percent from October 2015, while the volumes in the industrial sector rose 12.5 percent reaching 587,782 million cubic meters.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 180.434 million cubic meters, dropping 3.9 percent from October 2015.

Total volumes for the fiscal year 2016, spanning the period from April to October edged up 1.3 percent, reaching 8,267,280 million cubic meters, compared to 8,161,766 in the corresponding period in 2015.
