MHI Vestas Offshore Wind plans to hold a Jobs Fair in Newport this weekend to promote 70 new job openings at the company’s blade factory on the Isle of Wight.
MHI Vestas will hold the Jobs Fair at West Medina Mills, Stag Lane, Newport on Saturday, 26 November, from 10 am to 3 pm local time.
The company plans to add a new shift at its facility near Newport.
This growth has created 70 new jobs which will form part of the team building the biggest wind turbine blades in the world used for the V164-8.0 MW wind turbines, MHI Vestas said.
Those interested in attending the Jobs Fair do not need to pre-register and can submit their CVs along with covering letters to the MHI Vestas team in attendance. They will also have a chance to tour the facility.
There are positions available across production, maintenance and logistics, the company said.
No experience is necessary as MHI Vestas will provide on the job training and development.
