Offshore driller Noble Corporation has been awarded a contract extension for one of its drilling rigs in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.

Noble reported on Tuesday in its latest fleet status report that the 1981-built semi-submersible drilling rig Noble Paul Romano has won the extension with the oil company Hess in the Gulf of Mexico.

The extension starts in mid-December 2016 and lasts until late May 2017 at a dayrate of $128,500.

Back in September this year, the rig got a one-well contract extension from Hess that will last until December. However, the oil company slashed the rig’s dayrate from $304,000 to $128,500.

The drilling contractor also informed on Tuesday that the 1999-built semi-sub Noble Danny Adkins is being prepared for cold stack. After its contract with Talos in the Gulf of Mexico expired in March 2016, the rig was warm stacked in April.
