Offshore vessel operator Siem Offshore took delivery of its newbuild platform supply vessel (PSV) Siem Thiima on Thursday, November 24.
The PSV was delivered from Remontowa Shipbuilding in Gdansk, Poland.
According to the company, the vessel is preparing for a long journey to Port Dampier in Western Australia where it will be servicing Woodside Energy Australia for the next 5 years to come, with an expected start in early 2017.
The vessel is a Dual Fuel (LNG/MGO) PSV of VS4411 design, which is Siem Offshore’s third vessel of the same design. The other two are Siem Symphony and Siem Pride.
Siem agreed the charter with Woodside for the dual fuel PSV in April 2016. Woodside stated this would be the first vessel of the kind to be used in Australia.
