INTSOK and INTPOW are merging to form Norwegian Energy Partners, a new organisation that will also support Norwegian offshore wind industry including its supply chain.
Norwegian Energy Partners has hired David Ottesen as a Director of the offshore wind unit. Until recently, Ottesen was CEO of Risavika Havn after a long tenure in the energy industry as a senior manager of Baker Hughes. He will now work closely with the current Norwegian Energy Partners team and will be based in Stavanger.
Jon Dugstad , head of the offshore wind team at Norwegian Energy Partners, said: “We are very pleased to attract a capacity such as David to our team as we are now eyeing large opportunities for the Norwegian supply industry in the growing market for offshore wind.
“The Norwegian supply industry is in transition and we experience growing interest for the offshore wind industry among our oil & gas partners. Half the partner companies in Norwegian Energy Partners have already engaged in the offshore wind industry or is considering entering the market.
“David’s knowledge of the Norwegian offshore and maritime supply industry combined with his international experience will enhance Norwegian Energy Partners´ offer to the supply industry significantly.”
