Oil and gas company San Leon Energy has been approached by an unnamed firm for a possible takeover offer, the second one in less than two years.
The company, with oil and gas assets across Europe and Africa including offshore assets in Albania, Ireland, and Morocco, confirmed on Monday it has received an approach from a possible offeror, which may or may not lead to an offer being made for San Leon.
San Leon added there can be no certainty that an offer will be made or as to the terms on which any offer might be made.
This is the second approach for a potential takeover of San Leon as the company had previously been approached from a possible offeror in August 2015.
The talks regarding this potential takeover offer ended in January 2016 as the potential offeror had not made an offer and had terminated all discussions with San Leon.
