USACE to Organize Industry Day in Chicago

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Chicago District has just announced that it will host an Industry Day, February 21st 2017, to showcase $70 million in contracting opportunities for FY17- FY18.

It will be held from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Ralph H. Metcalfe Federal Building in Chicago, IL.

This event will also include an overview of the Chicago District, lessons learned, outlook and trends; breakout sessions addressing pressing topics in contracting, project management, and small business; an opportunity to interface with staff, and a Strategic Networking event.

The Chicago District is responsible for water resources development in the Chicago and Northwest Indiana metropolitan area, a unique urban area of about 5,000 square miles with a population of approximately 9.1 million.

Mission areas include: Flood Risk Management, Navigation, Environmental, Shoreline Protection, Emergency Management, Overseas Contingency Operations, Aquatic Invasive Species Program, Regulatory Support, and Real Estate.
