Peru’s only liquefaction facility at Pampa Melchorita shipped two more cargoes to Spain last week.

According to the data provided by the state-owned Perupetro, the first of the two cargoes was loaded on January 10, aboard Shell’s Gemmata LNG carrier with a capacity to transport 138,104-cbm of liquefied natural gas.

The second cargo was dispatched on January 15. It was loaded aboard the GasLog-owned, 145,000-cbm Methane Jane Elizabeth.

Both vessels set course for Spain, however, Petupetro has not confirmed the exact destination of the either vessel.

With the two cargoes, Peru’s LNG export facility shipped 377 vessels in total, since it started operations in June 2010.

The 4.45 million tons per year gas liquefaction plant is located 170 kilometers south of Lima and receives gas via a 408-kilometer pipeline built across the Andes.
