MHI sets up U.S. oil and gas unit

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has established a specialized oil & gas division within its Houston-based unit, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has established a specialized oil & gas division within its Houston-based unit, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America.

The company is looking to provide one-stop solutions to the upstream, LNG and downstream markets.

Hiroaki Osaki, president of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor Corporation (MCO), has been appointed as president of the newly-established division.

The division will focus on identifying, developing, and leading business opportunities for turbomachinery and engineered solutions including growth areas such as floating production, LNG, plant modularization, CO2 EOR, gas processing and petrochemicals.
