Norskan Offshore, a Brazilian offshore vessel owners has secured three charters with Petrobras.
DOF, Norskan’s Oslo-listed parent company, said Norskan has been awarded a 1+1 year contract with Petrobras for Skandi Botafogo anchor handlers. The contract will start February 15..
Furthermore, Norskan has secured two contracts with Petrobras for Skandi Leblon and Skandi Flamengo platform supply vessels for 365 days and 668 days respectively. DOF said that the two PSVs were sold in 2015, however Norskan retained market risk on contract renewal for these vessels after sale.
“It is very satisfactory that Norskan continues to secure long term contracts for our Brazilian fleet. In 2016 we had low utilization for Skandi Flamengo. These new awards secure a higher backlog for these vessels in 2017 compared to 2016” says Mons S. Aase , CEO of DOF.
