AGR, a construction and engineering project management service company, has been awarded a contract from Jacktel for maintenance work on the Haven MODU, currently preparing for work on Statoil’s Johan Sverdrup field off Norway.
AGR said on Monday that the contract entails management of surface treatment and corrosion protection repair work on the rig.
Statoil awarded a contract to Jacktel for providing accommodation services on the Johan Sverdrup field in the North Sea back in 2015. The contract period is for 18 months with an estimated start in June 2018. The contract also has five two-month extension options. The total value of the firm contract period was around $178 million.
The Haven accommodation rig is currently being upgraded for the Statoil gig by Lamprell with new extended legs and suction caissons which will be produced in its Hamriyah yard in the UAE.
After transportation of the constructed rig components to Norway, Lamprell will assemble and install them in collaboration with Coast Centre Base. The works are scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2018.
The scope of work by AGR includes procurement management as well as supervising and executing the ongoing surface protection repair project on the accommodation rig. The work will be carried out by AGR’s Facilities Solutions division focusing on delivering field development and facilities engineering services both onshore and offshore.
