Danish offshore shipowner Maersk Supply Service (MSS) shared a picture through its social media channels on Monday showing three of its AHTS vessels moving the Transocean-owned rig, the Henry Goodrich, off the East Coast of Canada.
“The three musketeers,” as the company called them, were moving the rig for Canadian energy company Husky Energy which has the Henry Goodrich under contract until May 2018.
The rig has been under contract with Husky since May 2016 on a dayrate of $275,000. It was moved from Norway to Canada in April last year by two of the vessels moving the rig now, the Maersk Detector and Maersk Dispatcher , helped by the ALP Winger.
Upon arrival, Husky Energy used the rig at the White Rose oil field development project, some 350 kilometers off the coast of Newfoundland.
During this latest rig move operation, the final and youngest member of the Maersk moving trio was the 2015-built Maersk Cutter .
According to latest AIS data, all three vessels arrived just offshore St. Johns from the location near the SeaRose FPSO vessel which is operating on the White Rose field.
