Spanish LNG terminal operator Enagás agreed with Jovellanos Centre of the Spanish Maritime Safety Agency to create an international LNG school.

The school to be located in the Jovellanos Integral Maritime Safety Centre in Gijón, would offer training courses for professionals in the industry, according to a joint statement.

Training courses would also be held at the El Musel regasification plant.

This agreement, the result of a collaboration between the Maritime Safety Agency and Enagás within the CORE LNGas hive project, which is co-financed by the European Union, whose main objective is to jointly structure a training program to cover all aspects of LNG.

The group is aiming to further promote the use of liquefied natural gas for marine transport and in ports throughout Spain and Europe.
