Australia Pacific LNG CEO, Page Maxson, said he intends to retire at the end of this month, after guiding Australia Pacific LNG from project concept through construction to commercial production.
Maxson was appointed CEO in 2010, prior to which he held oil industry project management, production and development roles in Scotland, the North Sea, Houston and Russia.
ConocoPhillips president Australia East, Warwick King, will take over as Australia Pacific LNG CEO in February. King has been leading ConocoPhillips’ efforts for the LNG facility operation since 2011 as the company’s president of Australia East.
Australia Pacific LNG is a joint venture between ConocoPhillips, that is the operator with a 37.5 percent stake, Origin holds a 37.5 percent stake and Sinopec owns a 25 percent stake.
At full capacity, the A$25 billion (US$17 billion) LNG project will be producing 9 mtpa of the chilled fuel.
