Shipping operations have been resumed in Port of Darwin, northern Australia, following the passing of a tropical low, GAC informed.
The tropical low was expected to develop into a tropical cyclone, affecting Darwin and Wyndham ports.
On March 4, the Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) said that the cyclone warning was extended to coastal areas of northwest Top End and included Darwin.
However, the Port of Darwin seems to have escaped the cyclone which moved southwest, away from the city.
As of March 6, tropical cyclone Blanche was located over the Kimberley coastline, 125 kilometers northwest of Wyndham and moving southwest at 18 kilometers per hour, BOM said.
The cyclone is expected to move further into the Kimberley and to weaken later on March 6, according to BOM.
