Japan’s biggest city gas supplier, Tokyo Gas said its natural gas sales during February 2017 dropped 1.5 percent compared to the corresponding month a year before.
The total gas sales for the month of February reached 1.45 billion cubic meters, Tokyo Gas reported in its monthly report.
Volumes sold to the residential market reached 432.879 million cubic meters, 0.4 percent up on the corresponding period in 2016.
Tokyo Gas said the volumes in the business sector was up 1.7 percent, reaching 252.819 million cubic meters while the volumes in the industrial sector rose 0.5 percent reaching 556.564 million cubic meters.
Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 206.606 million cubic meters, dropping 13.2 percent from January 2016.
