Colorado-based CH2M signed a framework agreement with LNG giant Shell to provide engineering procurement, construction and project management services across upstream, integrated gas and downstream projects globally.

This is in line with continuing efforts to make transformational improvements in capital project delivery efficiency in the oil and gas sector, according to the company’s statement.

As an engineering, procurement and construction services provider, CH2M will focus on delivering projects for Shell’s operating sites and business units.

“This collaboration will allow Shell’s business units to seamlessly and competitively access CH2M’s global technical and management expertise, and enhance CH2M’s ability to invest in and optimize its delivery to Shell,” the statement reads.

Speaking of the agreement, Sheila Galegher , vice president and CH2M’s global account manager for Shell, said that the collective ideas between the two companies can mitigate the capital project life-cycle to a fully data-driven environment, improving capital efficiency across Shell’s asset base.
