BigRoll Shipping, a heavy marine transportation provider, has taken delivery of its fourth and final MC Class vessel, the BigRoll Beaufort.
The newbuild vessel was handed over to BigRoll by Cosco Dalian Shipyard in Leiden, the Netherlands, the owner of the vessel said in a statement on Monday.
The vessel measures 173 meters in LOA, 42 meters in breadth, and 12 meters in depth.
The BigRoll Beaufort completes the series of four identical deck carriers which, in addition to the latest vessel, consists of the BigRoll Barentz, BigRoll Bering, and BigRoll Baffin.
According to the owner, the Finnish Swedish 1A Ice Class MC-Class vessels are explicitly designed for the marine transportation of major modules and equipment for large energy projects both on and offshore and can deliver in the most remote and inaccessible areas on the planet.
BigRoll Beaufort will enter a short-term project with Yamgaz, the consortium of Technip, JGC Corporation and Chiyoda, for module transportation as part of the Yamal LNG project.
