Australian provider of liquefied natural gas is looking to expand into new and existing markets through the development of its cryogenic ethane business.
Evol LNG is the only Australian producer of cryogenic ethane for the refrigeration or specialty gasses industries, the company said in its statement.
Speaking of the company’s decision to expand its business, Evol LNG’s business manager Nick Rea said ethane, a hydrocarbon produced as part of the LNG production process, presented an attractive new business opportunity and was worth investigating.
Rea said the company had previously supplied ethane to a large international LNG project and there was growing interest from the Asia-Pacific region.
Evol LNG intends to grow its presence in Australia as well as in the Asian market as it can deliver cryogenic ethane by ISO tanks to any destination, Rea said.
