Micro Shelter Solution informed that it had participated to the radar/VTS equipment installation for the Galloper offshore wind farm foundations, all of which are now installed at the project site in the UK.

The company assisted GeoSea in installing the equipment on the structures. The devices were mounted on the foundations on land, prior to their installation offshore, with final works to be completed once the turbines are placed on the foundations.

The equipment will be operated by the UK Maritime Coast Guard Agency in their safety of navigation and Search and Rescue missions.

After installing the first foundation at the 336MW Galloper offshore wind farm site in late December 2016, GeoSea’s jack-up vessel Innovation installed the last of the total 56 foundations on 28 March, two months ahead of schedule.

The Galloper construction team is now preparing to start the installation of Siemens 6MW turbines.

The offshore wind farm is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2018.
