AG&P (Atlantic, Gulf and Pacific Company) unveiled two modular designs for LNG supply network aimed at enabling last-mile delivery to LNG demand centers scattered across Southeast Asia, South Asia and the Caribbean.
The company revealed its designs for a scalable LNG delivery platform and an onshore modular regasification unit at Gastech conference currently taking place in Tokyo.
“While there is increasing preference for small-scale and mid-scale LNG solutions in emerging economies like Indonesia and India, uptake remains slow with few projects underway. Standardization and modular solutions will be the circuit-breaker that will bring projects online, enabling the switch to LNG as a clean and affordable energy source,” said Albert Altura , president AG&P.
The scalable LNG delivery platforms based on a shallow draft barge design and conventional vessel hull design will have the delivery capacity of 4,000 to 8,000 cubic meters for the shallow water delivery and 6,000 to 16,500 cubic meters for the open water delivery.
The onshore modular, standardized regasification unit design, features modules with 250 mmscfd regasification capacity, pre-commissioned at AG&P’s facilities in the Philippines.
The company added in its statement that setting up such units would last up to 12 months.
