The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is searching for a 32-year-old man who went overboard from Carnival Liberty cruise ship ten miles northwest of Berry Islands, Bahamas, on April 7.

Reco Scott reportedly went overboard from the ninth deck of the cruise ship at approximately 5:00 a.m. (local time), the USCG said.

The cruise ship launched a search operation and contacted USCG watchstanders.

The USCG deployed a helicopter and a cutter to search for the missing person.

The cruise ship continues the search operation along with two other vessels, according to the USCG.

Carnival Liberty, owned by the US-based cruise company Carnival Cruise Line, departed Port Canaveral in Florida on April 6 and was en route to the Port of Nassau in the Bahamas, the ship’s AIS data shows.
