Shearwater has signed a one month contract with an undisclosed client for a 3D marine acquisition survey offshore North Africa.

The contract will start promptly and will be performed by Polar Marquis while en-route from India to the North Sea.

“In combination with the successfully completed ONGC contract and the recently awarded TGS Crean contract , this award ensures continuous employment for the Polar Marquis from December 2016 through to the end of the 3rd quarter 2017,” said Shearwater’s COO Peter Hooper .

Polar Marquis, 119 meters long and 22 meters wide, is a high capacity 3D seismic vessel, capable of deploying 16 streamers.
