Belgian dredging specialist DEME has secured a contract from the Chevron-led Angola LNG project.
Angola LNG awarded a 5-year maintenance dredging contract to DEME for its LNG export terminal located in Soyo.
Works will start by mid of June 2017, DEME said in a statement on Friday without revealing any additional info.
Besides the Angola LNG deal, DEME won additional five contracts in Africa which are in total worth about 125 million euros ($137.3m).
To remind, the $10 billion Angola LNG project, restarted operations in May last year after it was closed for more than two years due to a major rupture on a flare line that occurred in April 2014.
The Soyo LNG plant has a capacity to produce 5.2 million tons of the chilled fuel per year.
Angola LNG is a joint venture between Sonangol (22.8%), Chevron (36.4%), BP (13.6%), Eni (13.6%), and Total (13.6%).
