Shell’s energy and LNG trading units name new heads

The Hague-based LNG giant Shell’s units, Shell Energy Europe (SEE) and Shell LNG Marketing and Trading (SMLT) have named new leads for their businesses.

The Hague-based LNG giant Shell’s units, Shell Energy Europe and Shell LNG Marketing and Trading have named new leads for their businesses.

Slavko Preočanin has been appointed to lead Shell LNG Marketing and Trading, the LNG trading and supply organization for Shell.

Preočanin, based in Dubai, was the head of Shell Energy Europe for almost eight years, Shell said.

He joined Shell in 1987 and has since held management positions in Shell’s UK retail fuels business, various strategy and operations manager roles in refining and several trading roles.

David Wells has become the head of Shell Energy Europe, the unit responsible for Shell’s marketing and trading of gas and power in European energy markets.

Wells joins Shell Energy Europe after leading Shell’s LNG Marketing and Trading business for nearly eleven years. He joined Shell in 1982 and has previously held management positions in Shell across the world in various trading roles, along with roles in refineries in France and Thailand.
