HNZ Group has been contracted to provide offshore search and rescue for the Inpex-led Ichthys LNG and the Shell-led Prelude FLNG projects.
The international provider of helicopter transportation and related support services, has been awarded the contracts from Inpex Operations Australia and Shell Australia for the Ichthys LNG and the Prelude FLNG projects, respectively.
HNZ will supply one leased Sikorsky S-92 heavy helicopter to provide 365-day search and rescue and medical evacuation services, in order to support both offshore facilities in Australia.
The contract terms are five years, plus two, two-year optional renewal periods, the company said in a statement.
The latest Ichthys LNG deal adds to the contract HNZ has been awarded in December last year in joint venture with PHI to provide offshore helicopter transportation services for the project, and expands the company’s S-92 operations in Broome, Western Australia.
