Italian energy giant and LNG player Eni signed an agreement with Fincantieri to partner up on studying initiatives related to the natural gas transport chain, LNG, and the exploitation of gas resources.
The two companies intend to establish a research and development partnership that will include the possibility to carry out studies on energy projects related to natural gas.
This partnership aims to develop projects regarding floating platforms for offshore production and the evaluation of energy projects with a low environmental impact.
Eni adds in its statement that the MoU is part of the company’s strategy “to tackle climate change, promote sustainable development and support the use of gas for transport.”
