Russia’s Novatek signed a memorandum of understanding with Fluxys to develop small-scale LNG projects in Europe.
In addition, the two companies have agreed to join forces in developing LNG marketing in Europe and Latin America, optimizing LNG logistics, as well as other projects involving LNG.
Speaking of the agreement, Novatek’s chairman, Leonid Mikhelson said it enable the company to develop new LNG markets as well as to increase the efficiency of its LNG projects, utilizing resource base on the Yamal and Gydan peninsulas.
Pascal De Buck , Fluxys managing director and CEO added that small-scale LNG “ticks all the boxes to curb the carbon and health impact of heavy duty road transport, shipping and remote industry.”
