Iran, South Korea to jointly build mini-LNG containers

Iranian and South Korean consortia have teamed up to develop mini-LNG ISO containers over the period of the next four years.

Iranian and South Korean consortia have teamed up to develop mini-LNG ISO containers over the period of the next four years.

Saeed Pakseresht , director of research and technology at National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), said the South Korean consortium is managed by the offshore engineering company.

Other members of the consortium are Kitech Research Institute, Kogas Tech, GS E&C, Sung-IL Encare, DongHwa Entec and KGS companies, NIGC said in its statement.

On the Iranian part, the consortium, managed by the NIGC, consists of LNG Institute of Tehran University (ILNG), the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) along with a number of manufacturing and executive engineering companies.
