Norwegian offshore vessels provider GC Rieber Shipping said it has agreed an extension of the firm period, securing the Polar Onyx commitment until the end of August 2017.
The vessel is operating in West Africa under a four-month time charter agreement signed in March this year, which included a two-month option.
The 130-meter flexible pipelay and subsea construction vessel was also chartered for West Africa campaign by Marine Platforms Limited (MPL) in November last year to perform subsea construction/SURF installation and field development for Chevron.
Financial details surrounding the latest deal have not been disclosed.
