Suretank, a provider of engineered solutions to the offshore o&g industry, has manufactured and delivered specialized helifuel re-fuelling tanks and jettison skids for two rigs operating in the Gulf of Thailand.
Suretank said on Tuesday that the equipment was manufactured for offshore driller Shelf Drilling. Apart from the helifuel system, a number of baskets and containers were also supplied to update the existing cargo carrying units aboard the rigs.
The company added that the units were mobilized by Suretank’s logistics’ team from its manufacturing base in Ireland to Dubai, where the jettison skids were attached to the rig. The tanks were hooked up to the rigs after the pair reached Thailand and the CCUs were loaded on board ready for operation in the Gulf.
Greg Bailey , sales and operations manager for Asia Pacific at Suretank said: “Timing was critical as the rigs had a tight schedule to run to Thailand and into operation from their refit in Dubai.”
Suretank is a manufacturer of tanks and cargo-carrying units for the offshore oil and gas industry, and all of its products and its product range includes chemical and acid tanks, helifuel tanks, offshore containers, baskets, mudskips, and cryogenic tanks.
