Dockwise, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Boskalis, has secured a contract for the jackets transportation for the East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm.

According to the company, 36 jackets will be transported from the construction yard in Jebel Ali, United Arab Emirates to Vlissingen, the Netherlands.

The jackets will serve as foundations for the East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm development.

Dockwise received the contract from Lamprell Energy, who is in charge of supplying 60 jacket foundations and their accompanying piles for the East Anglia ONE, under the contract with ScottishPower Renewables.

Two semi-submersible heavy transport vessels will be deployed for the contract, Dockwise noted.

The East Anglia ONE will consists of up to 102 Siemens wind turbines and foundations, each rated at 7 megawatts, which will give an overall generating capacity of up to 714 megawatts.
