Bunker vessel Coralius, carrying its first cargo of LNG, arrived at a terminal in Norway as part of its maiden voyage on September 14, Scandinavian LNG provider Skangas said.
The vessel, which arrived at Skangas’ terminal in Øra, Fredrikstad, was loaded with an LNG cargo from the company’s production facility in Risavika, Stavanger.
Built by Royal Bodewes, the 5,800 cbm Coralius joined Skangas on September 2 under a long-time charter deal agreed with the ship’s owners Anthony Veder and Sirius Shipping.
“We are very content with further developing the marine LNG availability in Northern Europe by our new ship Coralius,” Kimmo Rahkamo, CEO of Skangas, said.
“We look forward to serving our existing and new customers wherever they need LNG by ship-to-ship. Today the technology and ship engines are sound for gas and we are more than ready to supply it by our supply chain,” he added.
