Owner and operator of LNG carriers Golar LNG informed that Hilli Episeyo, the world’s first converted floating liquefaction (FLNG) vessel, departed Keppel Shipyard on October 1.
Having reached mechanical completion, the vessel has been moved to the deep-water water anchorage where Keppel Shipyard will complete final marine commissioning.
Hilli Episeyo is expected to leave Singapore between October 15 and 20.
Following three years of conversion work at Keppel, the vessel, designed for a liquefaction capacity of about 2.4 million tons of LNG per year, was named on July 2, 2017.
Hilli Episeyo was converted from a 1975-built Moss LNG carrier with a storage capacity of 125,000 cubic meters.
The ship will operate offshore Kribi, Cameroon for Société Nationale des Hydrocarbures and Perenco Cameroon SA, and will be the first FLNGV project in Africa.
