China State Shipbuilding Corporation’s Guangzhou Wenchong Dockyard signed a contract with French LNG containment specialist GTT to cooperate on liquefied natural gas carrier dry-docking project.
Under the agreement, GTT would boost the development of Chinese market as well as the development of the dry-dock technology.
In addition, Guangzhou Wenchong Dockyard personnel have been trained by GTT experts enabling the planning and preparation of the LNG vessels maintenance project.
According to a Guangzhou Wenchong Dockyard official, the two companies will organize courses for the technical, production, procurement, management and other personnel to acquire the relevant knowledge in LNG carriers, needed to carry out maintenance work at the yard.
