BW Offshore informed that the BW Catcher floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel has arrived at the Catcher field in the central North Sea on Wednesday.

The hook up of the submerged turret production (STP) buoy mooring system was completed on Thursday with the vessel completing a rotation test around the buoy on Friday, October 20.

The final pull-in of the risers and umbilicals is now underway and commissioning activities have also started in parallel.

Delivery of first oil remains on schedule by the end of the year.

BW Catcher has an oil storage capacity of 650,000 barrels and a processing capacity of 60,000 barrels per day. The FPSO has a design life of 20 years of uninterrupted operations.

BW Catcher will be deployed on a seven-year fixed term contract, with extension options of up to 18 years, with Premier Oil.
