Lindø Port of Odense – working on a project that will expand the wide fairway leading to the port – has just released the fairway expansion – dredging tender.
According to the port, this tender relates to the extension of the approx. 6.5 km fairway from Gabet to Lindo.
Under the project, named Fairway expansion – Lite 150, the wide fairway is to be deepened from present 7,5m to 8,0m.
“ The deepening of the fairway has to be executed along the hole channel, but the main volumes will be in the bends of the channel. The deepening concerns only the wide 150m fairway to a new depth of -8,3m in total. The narrow deep fairway of – 11m will not be dredged ,” announced the port.
The estimated total volume of dredging will be approximately 140,000m³.
Lindø Port of Odense expects that the dredging will start up as soon as the future contractor has his equipment available – preferable in December 2017.
The deadline for sending bids for the fairway expansion is December 5, 2017.
