Denmark’s Port of Esbjerg shared a photo via social media on Monday showing the Maersk Resolute drilling rig back in the port after completing its latest contract.
The jack-up drilling rig Maersk Resolute is located next to another Maersk Drilling-owned rig, the Maersk Giant, which can also be seen in the photo.
According to the port, the 2008-built Maersk Resolute will have minor work done at quay-side while it is waiting for a new contract.
Before arriving to the port, the Resolute worked for Petrogas E&P Netherlands. The rig began work in June under a contract awarded back in January . The initial deal for the rig was for 75 days, and the first extension was for two months. The contract was extended one more time in October .
Before starting work for Petrogas, the rig was warm-stacked in the same port where it is currently located.
The Maersk Resolute has a gross tonnage of 15,589 and measures 70 meters in length and has a width of 68 meters.
