The three liquefaction plants located on Curtis Island off Gladstone shipped a total of 27 cargoes of liquefied natural gas during the month of November.
The three facilities, namely Shell’s Queensland Curtis LNG project, Santos GLNG and the ConocoPhillips-operated Australia Pacific LNG project, exported 1.7 million mt of the chilled fuel during the month.
According to the data released by the Gladstone Ports Corporation, the volumes shipped in November were only 0.6 percent below those dispatched during the same month in 2016, with the same cargo count.
China was the largest importer of the volumes with 1.14 mt imported during the month of November.
Only three other countries received Australian LNG cargoes, with South Korea receiving 360,249 tons, Japan imported 139,100 tons and 59,866 tons landing in Malaysia.
