Foremost Group has ordered four more 210,000 dwt bulk carriers at Chinese shipbuilder Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of China CSSC Holding.
The order from the New York-based ship management firm is said to be the first contract secured by the shipbuilder this year.
The financial details of the order signed on January 31 have not been disclosed.
The company is a return customer at SWS, as the shipping, trading and finance enterprise placed an order with the shipbuilder for two 180,000 dwt bulk carriers in June, 2017.
Back in September 2017 , Foremost Group exercised an option for two more 180,000 dwt bulkers at the yard set for delivery in 2019.
Since 2002, SWS has built over a dozen bulkers for the company.
