MHI Vestas has awarded Boston Energy with three Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Statutory Inspection contracts in the UK, commencing in early April 2018.

“These contracts further extend the level of support and partnership with MHI Vestas and the increased trust placed in our organisation,” the East Yorkshire-based company said.

A year ago, Boston Energy won a contract to support MHI Vestas at the Walney 3 pre-assembly site in Belfast, following completion of the Burbo Bank Extension pre-assembly works in 2016.

For Walney 3, the company has provided mechanical and electrical turbine technicians for the pre-assembly of 40 MHI Vestas 8MW wind turbines.
