The award decision at the tender for the Hollandse Kust Zuid I & II sites will be announced after 17.30 CET on 19 March 2018, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO.nl) informed today, 9 March.
The application period for the subsidy-free tender was closed on 21 December 2017, after which RVO.nl stated that businesses are prepared to start constructing and operating the Hollandse Kust Zuid I & II without government subsidy, based on the received bids.
Among the developers who placed their offers at the tender are Vattenfall and Statoil.
To remind, the tender has been set up in a way that it primarily receives zero-subsidy offers with companies competing only for a concession permit. If there had not been any applications or if developers had filed non-qualifying ones, the tender would have been bound for a second round that would have been be subsidy-based.
