Dutra Wins West Coast Hopper Maintenance Dredging

The Dutra Group of San Rafael California, has just won a contract for the West Coast Hopper Maintenance Dredging works. The $15.4 million contract was awarded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District. According to the Corps, the project includes hopper dredging work in Astoria, Oregon.

The Dutra Group of San Rafael California, has just won a contract for the West Coast Hopper Maintenance Dredging works.

The $15.4 million contract was awarded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District.

According to the Corps, the project includes hopper dredging work in Astoria, Oregon.

Earlier this year, USACE released Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the West Coast work. The IFB called for dredging of approximately 3,250,000 cubic yards of sediment from four locations: Humboldt Bay Bar and Entrance, California; San Francisco Mainship Channel, California; Columbia River, Oregon/Washington from River Mile 3+00 to 105+00; Mouth of the Columbia River, Oregon/Washington.

The estimated completion date for the project is September 26, 2018.
