LOC Group has promoted LOC Renewables Group Director Dr. RV Ahilan to the position of joint CEO, alongside Jerome Rutler.

Ahilan joined LOC Group in February 2016, after previously serving as Executive Vice President of the Renewables Advisory Division at DNV GL, President of GL Garrad Hassan and MD of GL Noble Denton in Americas and Europe.

“We must be prepared as a business to serve our industry as it continues to evolve, and to provide support to all our clients for the successful construction and operation of shipping, energy and power assets. We will continue to build on our reputation for taking an open approach to innovation and focusing strongly on the needs of our clients with a sense of urgency,” Ahilan said.

“The ability to leverage our existing global network of consultants has ensured we are well positioned to support the expansion of our clients into new markets, just as we are doing right now for offshore wind energy clients in Korea, Taiwan, Japan and the United States.”

Jerome Rutler joined LOC as Group COO in March 2016, bringing experience in the oil and gas, petrochemicals and marine industries, EPC, consultancy and technical advisory, LOC said. He was appointed to the new position in January this year.

“I’m delighted that Ahilan will work alongside me to reinforce LOC Group’s outstanding levels of service and commitment to our clients. As we continue to grow our scope of capabilities and our geographical footprint around the world, I am confident that together, we can deliver success for our clients and growth for the business in an evolving environment,” Rutler said.
