Global Maritime has, together with UniSea, secured a five-year fleet contract with SolstadFarstad for a software solution for dynamic positioning assurance.

The new software solution will make implementation and documentation of dynamic positioning testing easier. The solution’s main purpose is to avoid vessel downtime, at the same time improving the crews’ knowledge and experience.

Also, the solution will be integrated with already existing software onboard SolstadFarstad’s ships.

“This is the biggest dynamic positioning assurance contract in Global Maritime’s history. The industry needs to change and become more digital, and this solution will contribute to modern, digital and cost-effective solutions for the industry,” said Helge Hydle , general manager of Global Maritime.

“It is a strategic choice for SolstadFarstad to choose delivery partners that offer solutions that help us steer a course for a digital future,” added Tor Inge Dale , COO in SolstadFarstad.
