Spectrum Offshore has secured a five-year contract to provide combined crew transfer and survey services for the London Array offshore wind farm.
According to General Manager of London Array Ltd, Jonathan Duffy, the UK-based company will be in charge of providing a range of services to support the operations and maintenance team, from high-resolution bathymetric surveys to crew transfer.
The two companies have already collaborated on the project, with Spectrum Offshore providing geophysical datasets and crew transfer support services for the 630MW offshore wind farm over the past five years.
Located in the Outer Thames Estuary in the UK, the London Array wind farm comprises 175 Siemens turbines, which have been operational since 2013.
London Array Ltd, the developer of the project, is owned by a consortium of E.ON (30%), Ørsted (25%), La Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (25%), and Masdar (20%).
