Malaysian LNG giant Petronas has awarded a three-year logistics and supply chain contract to the German logistics specialist Kuehne + Nagel.
Under the agreement, Kuehne + Nagel will assume end-to-end integrated supply chain responsibilities for Petronas, the logistics specialist said in its statement.
Malaysia is the world’s third-largest exporter of liquefied natural gas and the second-largest oil and natural gas producer in South East Asia.
Support includes carrying out freight forwarding services, logistics management plus off-site and on-site warehouse operations, the statement reads.
As part of the cooperation, Kuehne + Nagel will utilize Petronas fuel, lubricant and petrochemical products when performing overland activities in Malaysia.
